Custom built Lithium Polymer Batteries come in two sizes, 3hr & 6hr with on / off switching. Short circuit, over voltage protection, low voltage cut out and other smarts are built into the battery packs, each packed inside a watertight tough plastic casing for protection. Mount anywhere neoprene battery pouches further protect and carry your light power.

Gone are the days that you have to conserve battery power. No more resting in the dark with our lights. Our 3hr batteries have a minimum burn time of 3 hours and weigh in at 70 grams. Our 6hr batteries have a minimum burn time of 6 hours and weigh in at 130 grams. When we say minimum burn we mean that the batteries will run the lights at full power for 3 & 6hrs then slowly dim until the battery switches off at 5V. A 3hr battery has been known to run for a further 6 hours after the 3hr burn time, all be it slowly dimming but when the light switches off it is still bright enough to get you home.

Our batteries have been designed to be mounted within 150mm from the light, be it on handle bar stem or helmet. There are no problems with dangly leads and we offer only very long burn times, so no need to keep turning the lights on and off whilst resting. Depending on the conditions the batteries can still be outputting enough light to ride even after 2 hours past their rated life.

Lights can be powered up and down in the wettest conditions providing it is fresh or rainwater.

The power connectors we have chosen for our light system are a high quality Japanese type, which has proven to be the most reliable. Our custom built silicone button requires at least 3mm of travel before it activates the internal switch. We have designed it this way for positive feedback for the user and made it pronounced enough to be found easily with or without gloves.

These batteries carry their own ‘smarts’ & unlike most other batteries are fully protected internally with short circuit, over voltage and low voltage cut off. The battery casings are waterproof to a depth of 0.5 meter. They are also designed to withstand a repeated fall of 5 meters to a concrete floor.

Our warranty policy is such that if any part fails through normal use within 1 year it will be replaced free of charge. How’s that for confidence!

6 Hour Batteries - Weight 140 grams - Size 80 x 56 x 20mm

Ay Up's 6 hr batteries have approx 500 recharges. That's minimum 3,000 hours of light ! Each battery is fully sealed and has short circuit protection.

The recharge time is approx 4 - 5 hours and can be charged at any battery level state be it within 5 minutes or 5 hours use. The battery will hold it's charge for many many months but should be charged at least every 3 months to keep the battery in good condition - Never store a completely flat battery as it may be difficult or impossible to recover if the battery runs down flat.

Battery weight is approx 130 grams for none switched batteries and approx 140 grams for switched batteries. Our batteries can be mounted in their neoprene mount anywhere neoprene pouches either on the helmet, backpack or on the bike using our our new 6hr neoprene handlebar stem strap which prevents battery movement.

3 Hour Batteries - Weight 80 grams - Sizes 68 x 38 x 20mm

Ay Up's 3 hr batteries have approx 500 recharges. That's minimum 1,500 hours of light ! Each battery is fully sealed and has short circuit protection.

The recharge time is approx 2 - 3 hours and can be charged at any battery level state be it within 5 minutes or 3 hours use. The battery will hold it's charge for many many months but should be charged at least every 3 months to keep the battery in good condition - Never store a completely flat battery as it may be difficult or impossible to recover if the battery runs down flat.

Battery weight is approx 70 grams for none switched batteries and approx 80 grams for switched batteries. Our batteries can be mounted in their neoprene mount anywhere neoprene pouches either on the helmet, backpack or on the bike.
