Hall of Fame The 24hrs of Adreneline, World Cup in Canmore, Canada was an awesome event and Aussie & Kiwi riders took home gold and dominated the podium. Ay Up powered riders Andy Fellows, Jeff Toohey, Thomas Lindup, Darren Clarke and Melinda Behrens all finished the race with awesome results. See their site here
An opportunity not to be missed, Ay Up travelled over to Canada to help support the many riders taking part in the race. Within a day he had is bike nicked in downtown Vancouver (the trusty old BMC is no more) donned a new Scalpel and had singletrack confrontations with a Black Bear and a Grizzly!
With 4 days set aside to drive from Vancouver to Canmore it was always going to be tough with so many trails to discover. One of the best single tracks ridden was close to Lake Louise and the scenery was stunning.
Victory is sweet .... Ay Up rider Andy Fellows takes out the 24hr Solo World Cup in his age group, 25 - 29

Jeff Toohey battled a tough race in the Elite class finishing an awesome 4th position, legendary stuff! Well done Jeff
Melinda Behrens from sunny Queensland took on the course and finished a fantastic 10th in the Female Elite class, well done Melinda and good on ya Davo, the support you gave your mum was tremendous and he did it with a smile on his face the whole 24hrs
With any 24hr race you will be nowhere without your support crew, Darren Clark from Ay Up USA was coming home for a podium finish with 4 hours to go when he was blinded due to the terrible muddy conditions thanks to huge thunderstorms storms during the race. He finished after a 2 hour break while is eyes were flushed out and sent on his way by his lovely Bri. Pictured here helping the medics working on Darren. Still smiling, that's after staying up for over 30hrs
Darren at the finish with 20% useful vision

Ay Up set to take on the African extreme's ..... See Website Ay Up are delighted to be accepted as a product sponsor for this truely awesome race in South Africa. During our 2 week visit in August we will host demo evenings where local MTB riders can test the latest products and during race week we have volunteered our time to help with the event. Mail into ayup.andrew@optusnet.com.au for more details on where and when we will have organised meets. The BULL of Africa 2008 will take some of the best teams on Earth on a journey right into the very heart of this magical wilderness where they will discover and explore the richness of this rugged land. The stage is set for an epic adventure! As a member of the AR World Series, BULL of Africa is a qualifying event for the Adventure Race World Championship. The AR World Series is an international circuit of premiere adventure races representing 12 countries creating a 12 month calendar of professional events around the world. Think of the biggest challenge possible then do it. That's exactly what UK olympic champion James Cracknell is doing for sport relief. Here's what he is doing and yes you have guessed it, he has chosen Ay Up to light up the night where he can be in darkness for over 7 hours a day ..... I'm aiming to show how close Africa is to the UK by getting there in less than a week - rowing the channel, cycling down through France and Spain then swimming to North Africa. Africa is not a place on the other side of the world, as Lenny Henry said "This is your doorstep." Travelling to Africa under my own steam has always been something that I wanted to do. The majority of the trip will be spent on a bike which is a great way to see any country. Hopefully by challenging myself other people will sign up for one of the Sport Relief Miles, it is a great way to raise money for an amazing charity. See James's site here and send him a message to boost him on. Check out some awesome video of James on his bike as he makes his way through France & Spain with his trusty Ay Up's here

SCOTT 24hr Canberra, 13 - 14th October 2007 What an awesome weekend in the ACT. Team Ay Up was invited down by the ADCC to demo our product and meet the club members. What we weren't prepared for was the massive interest from hundreds of individuals wanting to demo the lights and see for themselves just what this Ay Up fuss was all about. Already there were hundreds of Ay Up customers charging around the course and simply having a ball. Inbetween the continuous flow of demo's we still managed to chalk up a few laps on a absolutely fantastic course at Mt Stromlo.
Of the many riders that were using Ay Up's quite a few made it to the podium. Ay Up powered Australian 24hr Solo Champion Andrew Bell took out the mens solo with an incredible 29 laps, one full lap ahead of 2nd place. Ray Giddens managed 3rd in the 40+ solo category with 24 laps. Team Ay Up! must have been too busy having a chat as 9 laps shouldn't even get a mention .... team of 4 Team Coffee Guru Racing finishing in 1st with 34 laps plus many many more Ay Up powered riders. Special thanks goes out to the ADCC boys for looking after us and seeing that we were well catered for, also to all of you, our customers that made this weekend a memorable one. With product / service praise from all we met it was a great Ay Up vibe that we hope will continue to roller coast from event to event. Check out the event HERE
